Parc Édouard Vaillant

The Parc Édouard Vaillant sits on the site of what was once the Saint-Ouen castle grounds. By the nineteen thirties, the city transformed this land into a public park to provide green space for a growing industrial workforce. It features an array of mature trees and walking paths that contrast with the nearby urban landscape. The park bears the name of Édouard Vaillant, a socialist politician who fought for workers' rights in the late nineteenth century and lived in the neighborhood.
