The Bhonsale Ghat stands out by its imposing stone facade and the distinct Maratha architectural style that sets it apart from the surrounding structures. Built in the late eighteenth century by the Maratha ruler of Nagpur, the ghat served as a residence and a place of worship for pilgrims traveling from central India. Its stone carvings remain sharp against the riverbank. When the British army marched through the region, the ghat provided a fortified refuge for the displaced royal family of Nagpur.
