The vibrant, bright orange exterior of Bo-Kaap Kombuis stands out against the steep, cobblestone streets of the neighborhood. Yusuf Larney and his wife Zainie opened this space in two thousand three to share traditional Cape Malay recipes that were passed down through generations in their families. They transformed a former private residence into a restaurant that focuses on dishes like denningvleis and tomato bredie. The windows frame a view across the city toward Table Mountain, keeping the connection to the harbor and the community constant.
