Bertha Wine Bar

The Bertha Wine Bar occupies a building constructed in nineteen oh four, defined by the heavy, white-plastered gables that distinguish it from the neighboring storefronts. Originally built as a private residence, it later served as a base for various local businesses before its conversion into a tasting room for the nearby Spier estate. The bar takes its name from the daughter of one of the early owners, who insisted on keeping the original yellowwood floors and timber beams intact during the final renovation.
