The Neelsie Student Centre sits as a block of low, dark-brick architecture tucked into the university campus. It takes its name from Professor Cornellus G. Cillie, a former dean known affectionately by his students as Neelsie. The building serves as the central hub for campus life, housing food courts, shops, and offices. In the nineteen seventies, planners designed this space to concentrate student activities into one massive, labyrinthine structure. It remains the place where thousands of students cross paths every single day.
