The Pirate Republic Brewing Company occupies a building painted in shades of vibrant, deep blue, decorated with iron railings and large, wooden barrel heads. This building houses the only craft brewery in the Bahamas. Before this taproom opened in twenty-sixteen, the country lacked a local craft beer scene. The founders spent years navigating local laws and brewing regulations to establish their operation here, right in the heart of the historic downtown. A metal ship wheel hangs prominently near the main entrance.
