The building at Kingswest features a sweeping, curved facade faced in white Portland stone, designed to mirror the bend of the road as it nears the Brighton seafront. Originally built in nineteen thirty-four as the Regent Cinema, it served as a grand picture palace with an auditorium that could seat three thousand people. The cinema eventually closed in nineteen seventy-three, and the space was subdivided. It held the nightclub known as PRYZM until two thousand twenty-three, when the venue abruptly ceased operations.
