Bayview K.C. Jones Playground Park

The K.C. Jones Playground features a prominent mural of a basketball player mid-dunk, his silhouette stretching across the court wall. The park honors K.C. Jones, the legendary Boston Celtics point guard who grew up in this neighborhood. Jones coached the Celtics to two championships after winning eight titles as a player. He returned to these streets to host youth basketball clinics, teaching local children the game on the very asphalt where he learned to dribble as a young boy in the nineteen forties.
