Sunny's

food drink

The weathered sign for Sunny's on the corner of Prairie and Main marks a space that operated as a bar for over a century. When it opened in the early nineteen hundreds, it served the men working in the nearby cotton exchange and the railyards. While the city grew into a landscape of glass towers, the interior remained frozen in wood and dim light. The bar survived the construction of the light rail and the transformation of the entire neighborhood around it.
