Belltown Cottage Park & P-Patch

park garden

The Belltown Cottage Park is a small patch of green squeezed between towering apartment blocks, defined by the two tiny, weathered wooden houses sitting near the center. These buildings are remnants of the early nineteen hundreds when this neighborhood was full of simple worker cottages. Most were demolished as the city expanded, but these two survived the wrecking ball. Today, residents grow vegetables in the community garden beds surrounding the houses, keeping a piece of the old neighborhood alive while the skyscrapers rise above.
