The Edgewater Hotel

other

The Edgewater Hotel sits on a pier extending directly over the waters of Elliott Bay. Built for the nineteen sixty-two World's Fair, it was the only hotel in the city with a waterfront view. The Beatles famously stayed here in nineteen sixty-four, ignoring their scheduled boat tour to fish for rock cod from their suite window with a bamboo pole. They caught a mess of them, which the hotel staff promptly cleaned and prepared for the band's dinner.
