Cathedral Place sits at the corner of West Georgia and Howe Street, easily identified by the terra cotta griffins and gargoyles perched high on its facade. It occupies the site of the original Georgia Hotel, a nineteen twenties landmark that once hosted everyone from visiting royalty to local socialites. When developers replaced the aging hotel in the early nineteen nineties, they incorporated the original neoclassical motifs and ornate stonework into the new design, blending the old aesthetic with a modern office tower.
