Nelson Park

Nelson Park features a dense canopy of mature trees that masks the surrounding city noise. It occupies the former site of the Three Saints Parish, which functioned as the neighborhood hub until the late nineteen sixties. When the city leveled the old buildings to create the park, they retained the massive, old-growth elms and maples that still shade the walkways today. The quiet here persists because the land remains a literal island of green amidst the high-rise towers of the West End.
