Hinge Park

Hinge Park features a rugged, concrete-lined water channel that runs through the center of the landscape, mimicking the path of the original, long-buried Tesley Creek. Designers built this park in twenty ten to manage stormwater runoff for the surrounding neighborhood. While the grass stays groomed, the channel collects rainwater, filtering it through wetland plants before it reaches False Creek. A series of large, smooth granite boulders sits along the banks, dragged here from local construction sites during the park’s creation.
