The Creekside Community Recreation Centre sits under a distinctively curved, grass-covered roof that mimics the slope of the nearby park. Architect Nick Milkovich designed this building to bridge the gap between the urban density of Mount Pleasant and the natural landscape of the False Creek shoreline. Inside, the pool and fitness facilities serve local residents, but the structure itself occupies a former industrial site. Its placement honors the transition from the heavy manufacturing once rooted here to the public green space reclaimed today.
