Park Place is a forty-five story office tower defined by a distinctive jagged facade of silver-colored glass. Completed in nineteen eighty-four, it replaced the old Georgia Hotel. Architects at Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership designed the building with a series of setbacks to ensure the structure avoided blocking views of the North Shore Mountains from the city core. During the nineteen eighties, developers fought over the site, eventually building the tower to house the head offices for several major Canadian law firms.
