Puces de Nice

other

The Puces de Nice sit at the end of the harbor, defined by rows of weathered shipping containers painted in a uniform, utilitarian blue. These stalls house permanent antique dealers who took over the space where local fishermen once mended their nets. During the early nineteen eighties, the city cleared the waterfront and relocated the dealers here to organize the chaotic sprawl of goods that previously clogged the narrow streets. Now, dealers sell everything from tarnished silver spoons to eighteenth century wooden shutters.
