Square Raspail features a distinctively dense cluster of mature trees that stand in sharp contrast to the surrounding paved surfaces of Courbevoie. This green space occupies land that once belonged to the expansive gardens of the nearby Charras barracks. When the military installation was dismantled in the nineteen seventies, the city turned this remnant of the parade grounds into a public garden. A stone fountain sits near the center, marking the spot where infantrymen once gathered before their daily drills.
