Parc de Lattre de Tassigny

The Parc de Lattre de Tassigny features a paved central plaza framed by rows of mature chestnut trees. This land served as the site for the massive Saint-Gobain factory, which manufactured glass here for over a century until the nineteen seventies. When the company moved its operations, the city demolished the heavy industrial halls to create this public space. A bronze plaque near the entrance honors the marshal who gives the park its name, a commander of the French First Army during the Second World War.
