Greek Post Office (E.L.T.A.)

The Greek Post Office building in Rhodes is a striking example of nineteen twenties Italian colonial architecture, defined by its smooth, cream-colored walls and the heavy, repetitive arched colonnade along the ground floor. It was built during the Italian occupation of the Dodecanese islands to serve as the central administrative hub for communication. Architect Florestano Di Fausto designed the structure to blend Venetian and local Mediterranean motifs. Its tall, slender tower stands as a distinct marker against the surrounding city skyline.
