Rhodes Town Hall

The Rhodes Town Hall features Venetian Gothic windows and pointed arches that break sharply from the surrounding white Mediterranean facades. Designed by Florestano Di Fausto in nineteen twenty-five, the building served as the seat of the Italian governor during the occupation of the Dodecanese. While local builders executed the stonework, Di Fausto imported an Italian aesthetic to project administrative authority. A clock tower anchors the corner, keeping time for a city that spent decades shifting between empires and architectural styles.
