This Parsi café opened in nineteen twenty-three when Rashid Kohinoor arrived from Iran. He secured the space in Ballard Estate from the British port authorities, who initially restricted the location to European businesses. The restaurant retains its original bentwood chairs and ornate mirrors. Rashid insisted that the cafe serve authentic Parsi cuisine, making the berry pulav a local staple for nearly a century.
