The Cowasjee Jehangir Convocation Hall features a massive circular stained-glass window that anchors its western facade. Designed by George Gilbert Scott, the building arrived in Mumbai in eighteen seventy-four thanks to a donation from a Parsi philanthropist. Sir Cowasjee Jehangir provided the funds to ensure the university had a proper space for its ceremonies. During the monsoon, the heavy teakwood roof shields graduates from the rain, while the vaulted arches mirror the gothic cathedrals of nineteenth-century Europe.
