The Rajjab Mahal stands out on Dinshaw Vachha Road with its thick, honey-colored stonework and the high, arched windows that wrap around its curved corner. Built in nineteen thirteen, it displays the Edwardian Baroque style popular in colonial Mumbai. A century ago, the building functioned as a residential block for the city’s elite, housing professionals who worked in the nearby financial district. Its heavy masonry and wide balconies keep the interior cool, even when the afternoon sun hits the facade directly.
