The K. R. Cama Oriental Institute stands behind a distinctive gray stone facade featuring intricately carved balconies and tall, arched windows. Established in nineteen sixteen, the building serves as a global center for Parsi and Iranian studies. It houses a vast collection of rare manuscripts and books, some dating back hundreds of years. Kharshedji Rustomji Cama, the scholar for whom it is named, famously traveled to Europe in the nineteenth century to learn the language of ancient scriptures directly from the source.
