Maneckji Seth Agiary Parsi Mandir

The Maneckji Seth Agiary wears a facade of clean, cream stone topped with a distinctive, curved pediment that sets it apart from the surrounding commercial blocks of Ballard Estate. Built in seventeen thirty-five, this is the oldest surviving fire temple for the Parsi community in Mumbai. Maneckji Seth, a wealthy merchant, funded its construction after moving his family from Surat. The sacred fire inside has burned continuously for nearly three centuries, maintained by priests who keep the flame alive through the day and night.
