The Ishkiya Ganesh Ji temple sits tucked into a rocky crevice near the edge of the Gulab Sagar lake. Its entrance is a narrow, low-slung arch that forces anyone entering to bow their head, a gesture of humility before the deity. Local legend holds that this spot earned its name from lovers, or ishqiya, who once sought refuge here to exchange secret vows away from prying eyes. Ganesh stands inside, carved directly into the natural sandstone wall of the cliffside.
