Ghas Mandi is a cramped, rectangular courtyard tucked within the dense urban fabric of Jodhpur. Its name, which translates to grass market, preserves the memory of its original function as the primary trade hub for camel fodder. Farmers brought bundles of dry grass here on carts to feed the animals that powered local transport. Today, the surrounding stone facades retain their narrow, shaded balconies, though the piles of hay are long gone, replaced by small-scale wholesale trade and residential rooms.
