The Toorji Ka Jhalra stands out because of its precise, inverted pyramid shape, carved deep into the desert sandstone. Built in seventeen forty-four by the queen of Maharaja Abhai Singh, this stepwell provided water for the city for generations. Its design features intricate geometric carvings and an ornate gateway that once served as the centerpiece of local life. Men used to dive from the top tiers into the water below, competing to see who could make the cleanest splash.
