Tripoliya Bazar centers on a high stone gate with three arched openings, constructed during the reign of Maharaja Ajit Singh in the early eighteenth century. While the city grew rapidly around it, this gate functioned as the main entrance to the royal marketplace. Local merchants still pass through these stone arches every morning to open their stalls, continuing a pattern of trade that defined this intersection for three hundred years. The carved masonry remains largely intact, enduring despite the modern traffic flowing through its base.
