The Ram Bhandar sits behind a narrow, unassuming storefront, distinguished mainly by the constant cloud of steam and the lingering scent of hot ghee. This shop has supplied the residents of Ghasi Tola with their morning breakfast of kachori and sabzi for over a century. The original owners began by serving laborers and pilgrims who gathered near the river at dawn. Today, the third generation of the same family oversees the same heavy iron kadai, frying dough continuously from sunrise until the supply runs out.
