The Tavlinsky building stands out for its curved, cream-colored facade that wraps around the corner of the block like a ship bow. Built during the nineteen thirties, it is a classic example of the International Style that defines much of central Tel Aviv. Its designer, Pinhas Hitsch, focused on horizontal lines and minimal ornament to suit the Mediterranean light. Local residents still refer to the structure by the name of the family who owned the plot when it first went up.
