The Bell of Peace consists of a large, swinging bronze bell housed within a structure shaped like a lotus blossom. Its surface features a world map with no national borders, emphasizing the idea of a single, unified planet. In nineteen sixty-four, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park installed the bell, and it is rung daily by visitors. Masahiko Katori cast the metal, incorporating coins donated by people from many different countries, aiming for a sound that reaches across the entire globe.
