The BellView Hotel Boutique sits on a steep slope in the heart of El Cerro, defined by a distinct, pale facade that rises above the surrounding neighborhood of terracotta roofs. It began as a private villa built by the filmmaker John Huston in the nineteen fifties, back when the area remained a quiet fishing village. Huston hosted his cast and crew here during the production of The Night of the Iguana. The terrace still holds the view that first pulled Hollywood to these hills.
