Lazaro Cardenas Park

park garden

Lazaro Cardenas Park features vibrant, swirling mosaic tiles that cover every inch of its benches, walls, and walkways. Local artist Natasha Moraga led a team of volunteers to transform the formerly plain concrete space into a massive, open-air art installation. Before this project, the park served as a quiet neighborhood square. Now, the colorful patterns draw people to sit and watch the activity under the canopy of trees. Moraga often returns to the park to repair tiles damaged by the tropical weather.
