The white stucco walls of Casa Kimberly cling to the hillside of El Cerro, topped by a bright pink bridge that arches over the street below. Richard Burton bought the original house for Elizabeth Taylor in nineteen sixty-three as a birthday gift, right when they were filming The Night of the Iguana nearby. He added the bridge so she could cross between their villas without dodging the photographers who swarmed the alleyway. The property still holds the original tiled pool where they spent their afternoons.
