Det Lille Kaffekompaniet

Det Lille Kaffekompaniet occupies a tiny, red-painted wooden building wedged between the stone walls of the Fløibanen funicular track. Established in nineteen ninety-six, it claims the title of Bergen's oldest coffee bar. The space was once a humble electrical substation for the funicular railway. When the building became obsolete, it transformed into a coffee shop with just enough room for an espresso machine and a few wooden stools. It still serves coffee to people waiting for the ride up the mountain.
