Theta Museum

The Theta Museum occupies a small, cramped room hidden behind a bookcase in a nondescript wooden house on Bryggen. During the German occupation of Norway, this space served as the secret headquarters for the Theta resistance group. These young men and women operated a clandestine radio transmitter here, sending vital intelligence about German naval movements to London. They relied on this narrow chamber to avoid detection by the Gestapo, who occupied the neighboring offices, until their capture in nineteen forty-two.
