In sixteen forty-three, a woman named Anna Pedersdotter was burned here after being convicted of witchcraft. The town council used this high, visible point to ensure the grim proceedings remained public. Today, the hill sits quietly above the bustling streets, marked only by the name itself and the dark history of the law.
