69 St Georges Mansions

other

The building at sixty-nine Saint Georges Mansions features a distinct red sandstone facade typical of Glasgow tenements from the late nineteenth century. Built in eighteen ninety-six, these flats provided high-density housing for the city's growing middle class. Architect John James Burnet designed the structure with bay windows that allowed light to flood the interiors, a stark departure from the cramped housing common in the previous decades. Today, the building serves as private residences while maintaining its original decorative stone detailing and grand entrance.
