The sprawling green canopy and maze of terra-cotta pots define the corner of Ruibal's Plants of Texas. Louis Ruibal started this business in nineteen eighty-four with a single truckload of plants parked on the concrete of the Dallas Farmers Market. He convinced local farmers to let him sell alongside them, turning a small patch of pavement into a hub for gardeners. Today, the inventory stretches across multiple open-air stalls, stocked with everything from desert succulents to tropical ferns.
