The mural Sôhkâtisiwin, which means strength or power in Cree, covers the side of the Calgary Housing Company building with a vibrant portrait of a young girl wearing a jingle dress. Artist Kalum Teke Dan painted the work in twenty twenty-two to honor residential school survivors and their descendants. The design includes delicate floral beadwork patterns and eagle feathers, elements chosen to reflect resilience and cultural identity. The girl depicted is the daughter of a Blackfoot elder, chosen to represent hope for the future.
