Celebration Square (C-Square)

Celebration Square features a large, reflective circular fountain that transforms into a public ice rink during the winter months. Before this plaza opened in twenty twelve, the space was a vacant lot serving as a gravel parking area for local commuters. City planners reclaimed the ground to create a formal gathering point for the downtown community. The project centered on the installation of the fountain, which uses a recirculating system to allow for rapid seasonal transitions between water and ice.
