Sien Lok Park

Sien Lok Park features a prominent, red, double-tiered Chinese pavilion at its center, surrounded by willow trees that dip toward the banks of the Bow River. It serves as a dedicated space to honor the contributions of Chinese immigrants who arrived in Calgary during the late nineteenth century. In the nineteen eighties, city planners and community members transformed this flood-prone patch of land into a place for quiet reflection, naming it for the concept of happiness and prosperity.
