Joan of Arc Garden

A life-size bronze statue of Joan of Arc stands at the center of this enclosed garden, mounted on a tall granite pedestal. She wears full armor, clutching a sword, and gazes toward the horizon. This space occupies what was once a bastion for the local military hospital during the nineteen fifties. Landscapers transformed the site into a formal garden featuring concentric beds of tulips and perennials. It serves as a quiet memorial, separated from the vast open fields of the surrounding park by iron fences.
