The Voltigeurs de Québec Armoury is a massive, castle-like structure of grey stone with deep red trim and a pair of pointed towers that frame its wide entrance. It served as a training ground and headquarters for Canada's oldest French-speaking regiment. In two thousand eight, a fierce fire gutted the building, leaving only the outer walls standing. Workers spent years recovering scorched stone and ornamental ironwork, eventually rebuilding the interior to match the original architecture while installing a modern steel frame.
