The Moon Fisher is a bronze sculpture of a man in a small boat, perpetually casting his net into the water of the harbor. Sculptor Erik Heide crafted this figure in nineteen ninety-seven. He wanted to capture the quiet, daily patience of the traditional Danish fisherman. The bronze has weathered over the years, turning the boat and the man a deep, mottled green. It sits low to the surface, appearing as if the fisherman has only just drifted in from the open sea.
