Børsen

The copper spire of Børsen twists into the sky like four dragon tails braided together. King Christian the Fourth commissioned the building in the early seventeenth century to anchor Copenhagen as a merchant hub for the Baltic trade. He even added a spire of gilded dragons to signal his own ambition to the world. A major fire gutted the interior in April twenty twenty-four, leaving the charred brick shell standing while the city decides how to rebuild the landmark that defined its skyline.
