Sankt Petri Kirke

Sankt Petri Kirke stands apart with a brick tower that wears a pointed copper spire, rising above the surrounding buildings in the heart of Copenhagen. This is the oldest church in the city center, dating back to the early fifteenth century. It served as the parish church for the German-speaking community in Denmark for hundreds of years. During the bombardment of Copenhagen in eighteen oh seven, the church interior suffered heavy damage, but the original masonry survived the fire and the shelling.
