BLOX

The BLOX building features a stacked, geometric design of glass and green steel plates that look like a giant child’s blocks left by the harbor. It houses the Danish Architecture Center, offices, and apartments. Before this building rose in twenty-eighteen, the site held a brewery, then a printing house, and finally a vacant lot for years. When they dug the foundation, workers found the remains of a seventeenth-century wooden warship resting in the mud, forcing them to pause construction for archaeological excavation.
